Entry 164: Happy Halloween!
I don’t know where today went! When I look back it went by so fast. I woke up and had oatmeal for breakfast with a cup of coffee. I then made a cup of green tea and snaked on some fresh popcorn I was making for trick or treating. We had trick or treating from 4-7 and it was my first year passing out candy. I wasn’t sure how many we would get so I didn’t know how much candy to buy. In the end I passed out candy, popcorn and Frisbees! (Picture below) - I didn’t get as many kids as I would like to have gotten but I kind of expected it because I live a little ways out of town. I missed lunch and I missed dinner but snacked on the left over popcorn. I’m not that hungry today.
About a half hour ago I got done working out in the basement. I have been keeping up a routine! I did another straight uninterrupted half hour and I am feeling good. I am feeling more toned and I know I have gained some muscle since I have been weight training this week. Next week I am going to stop the weights and focus more on cardio to switch up the routine.
Guess what guys!! I worked out last night! I finally had a GREAT 30 minute basement workout. I did a brisk walk on the treadmill for a straight uninterrupted 15 minutes. Then I did 20 reps on each arm with 17.5 pound weights (I used to be up to 25 pounds but I have not done it in a while). I did my chin exercises to tighten up my facial muscle to help get rid of my double chin and then I went on the weight bench and did 20 reps of butterflies and 20 leg lift/stomach crunch things in intervals of 10. To finish it off I did the exercise bike until my alarm went off. Did I ever feel the burn! I am so proud of myself that I was constantly moving and did not take a break. I also didn’t check my phone once to see how much time I had left. When I was on the bike and my alarm went off I went to get off the bike and turn it off but then I was like well I can keep going so I rode it for a little longer so I think all in all I worked out for about 35 minutes instead of 30.
This morning I woke up and had my oatmeal and a cup of coffee. I then made a cup of green tea after. I had some popcorn and missed lunch. I made another cup of green tea and then I worked out in the basement again already! I did the same exact thing as I did last night but no crunches because I don’t want to overwork my abdomen. It still is sore from last night. I did another full uninterrupted 30 minutes. I’m so proud of myself! For dinner I just had some chicken soup that my Mom had made the other day with 2 slices of wheat toast. I am almost through my whole 75oz water jug. I still have been taking an apple cider vinegar tablet after all my meals.
I am going to skip weighing in this week due to my monthly visit coming soon. The next time I will weigh in will be Friday the 9th of November.
Entry 162: Needing motivation...
This morning I slept in until about noon. I have not done that in forever. It was the best night of sleep I have had since I got back from my vacation. I had a cup of coffee and a late brunch of 2 eggs, wheat toast and a small sweet potato. I have been cooking with olive oil because I am out of my zero calorie spray and they say that a little olive oil is good for you. I have drank most of my 75oz jug of water and have had only 1 cup of green tea. For dinner I had some chicken noodle soup that my Mom had made with a slice of wheat toast. I still have plans to work out today. I want to go in the basement and exercise for a half hour. It has been so long since I have had a good, decent work out that it almost feels like I have to start all over again fitness wise. I told Michael to kick my butt downstairs if I don't do it. I am finding it harder to get back on track and get to how I used to be. I think I am finally coming out of vacation mode lol. I have just been so busy with the Halloween party I had that I could not focus on anything else BUT like the picture says up top "You can have results or excuses, not both!!!" - I really need to put myself in the mindset I had when I started this journey. I think I will go back and start reading from the begging of my blog because i'm sure I could re-teach myself some things.
It is getting pretty cold out but I need to go for a walk before the snow hits for good. I am hoping after I work out tonight in the basement that it will be the igniter for my consistency in my work outs. I have to push myself and my limits. I know it will lift up my spirits because that fire that was inside me before has been flickering and I need to pour some gasoline (sweat) on it and make it burn!!!!!!!!!

My Halloween party last night was a blast! It couldn’t have gone better. I got pretty toasty and today I am not feeling the greatest lol.
This morning I had some swiss steak my mom had made with corn and mashed potatoes. Weird breakfast; I know. I am almost done with my 75oz jug of water. I missed lunch and for dinner I had a can of healthy choice soup. The healthy choice split pea soup and chicken dumpling soup are my favorite. I also had a snack of baked pumpkin seeds.
I weighed myself earlier. I am still at 265 & 73 pounds down. Tomorrow I plan to get myself back on track with working out!
Entry 160: Oops!
I forgot to post yesterday! I am going to be pretty brief on this post. Tomorrow is my Halloween party so I have been busy, busy, busy! I will not be posting tomorrow either.
I have been having my oatmeal for breakfast and have been drinking my jug of water. For lunch these past couple days i've had a can of healthy choice soup and yesterday I had a baked pork loin and sweet potato for dinner. I missed eating dinner tonight.
Entry 158: Gloomy day
I am TIRED! Today was such a gloomy day that it was hard not to feel lethargic. I did manage to get some more things done for my Halloween party this Saturday.
I woke up and had my oatmeal for
breakfast. I have been taking a apple cider vinegar tablet with every meal. I had my whole 75oz jug of water and for lunch I had 2 eggs and wheat toast. For dinner I had a can of healthy choice soup with a slice of wheat bread. I ate dinner early and ended up having a snack of baked sweet potato fries later on.
I probably wont have too much to say these next few days. I am going to be so consumed with doing last minute details for Saturday. Just a heads up; I probably wont get to post the day of the party. I guarantee you I will be busy with other things from sun rise until sun down :)

Today I was so busy getting things ready for the Halloween party that I forgot to eat lunch! For breakfast I had my oatmeal with a cup of coffee and took a apple cider vinegar tablet. I didn't get to eat dinner until about 7pm; I had a lean cuisine. I took another apple cider vinegar tablet after dinner. I drank my whole 75oz jug of water today but did not have any green tea. I probably will not have green tea again until after my party because I have put away my brewing machine.
Entry 156: Sunday cheat day
Today is mine and Michaels 5 year mark. We aren’t married but we celebrated anyway. He took me out for breakfast and I got 2 eggs with wheat toast, hash browns, and 3 strips of bacon but I only ate 1 and gave Michael the other 2. I missed lunch and for dinner we ordered pizza. Today is the last day I am going to let myself cheat until my Halloween party this Saturday. After my Halloween party I am going to be extremely hard on myself. I have already had a chat with Michael to not let me cave.
I have had over 75oz of water today and I did not have any green tea. Michaels Dad ordered me these apple cider vinegar tablets that I have wanted to try! I took my first one tonight and plan to take one with each meal. You could also go buy apple cider vinegar in the store and take that but I HATE vinegar and the less I have to taste it in my mouth the better lol.

Entry 155: 100% MENTAL
I weighed in this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I thought for sure I had gained at least 4 pounds. I stepped on the scale and it said 265. I maintained my weight; I can't tell you how but I did. I am still at -73 pounds. I am taking this as the push I needed to get back on track mentally. I could have gained but I must have stayed active enough to keep anything from gaining. I forget that the daily activity that I have now was a work out to me before; lol. I need to get back to walking. I haven’t done my walking route here in a long time. I could also use a good basement workout. I need to start being consistent!
I had my oatmeal and a cup of coffee for breakfast and missed lunch. For dinner I had a sweet potato with a little breakfast steak cooked in my grill pan. I am almost all the way through my 75oz water jug and I have had no green tea today. I have been busy cleaning/getting things ready for my Halloween party in a week!
